In this workshop recording, we will be getting you off of auto exposure mode, so you have more control over your camera and the types of photos you’re taking.

  • Ever wondered why your photos are blurry, even when your dog is sitting still?
  • Want blurrier backgrounds to help your dog stand our and reduce distractions?
  • Sick of your photos being too bright, or too dark or just not getting the results you want?
  • Curious about noise/grain, and how to prevent it (and if you should prevent it?!)

In this workshop we are going to be answering the questions above and plenty more. We will be discussing:

  • Why we should take control over our camera’s settings
  • The exposure triangle (don’t panic! You may have been overwhelmed by this before but we’re going to break it down and simplify!) and what each part of it does: shutter speed, aperture and ISO
  • My go-to settings for my pet photography and why I choose them
  • Methods for “easing into” manual mode
  • What is depth of field, how can we influence it, and how do we get those soft, creamy backgrounds
  • How much noise is “too much”, when should we worry about it, and what to do about it
  • Methods for learning your camera and its capabilities

How it works:

This is a recording of a workshop that was held live. You can watch it as many times as you want, and will have lifetime access to it.

There is be a downloadable .pdf booklet for you to see the information and refer back to.

You can ask questions in the comments section of the lesson, or in Inspawration Connect.
